The device for separation of tissue cells from a liquid, comprises a collecting container (14) forming a collecting chamber (18), where the collecting container in one hand is connected to a vacuum source and the other hand is connected to a supply pipe for the liquid-tissue cell-mixture. A communicating tube (16) is arranged within the collection chamber, where the communicating tube flows in a distance to a bottom (17) of the collecting container. A connection passes between the communicating tube and the collecting chamber above a liquid-tissue cell mixture level. The device for separation of tissue cells from a liquid, comprises a collecting container (14) forming a collecting chamber (18), where the collecting container in one hand is connected to a vacuum source and the other hand is connected to a supply pipe for the liquid-tissue cell-mixture. A communicating tube (16) is arranged within the collection chamber, where the communicating tube flows in a distance to a bottom (17) of the collecting container. A connection passes between the communicating tube and the collecting chamber above a liquid-tissue cell mixture level adjusting itself into the collecting container and is arranged within the communicating tube of a suction element (20) connected with the vacuum source. The distance of the communicating tube is selected to bottom of the collecting container so that a free cross-section between the communicating tube and the collecting chamber at the bottom is smaller than a free cross-section of the connection between the communicating tube and the collecting chamber above the liquid-tissue cell-mixture-level. The communicating tube comprises edge-open recesses at its ends facing towards at the bottom. The suction element has a variable length and/or is adjusted in variable length. The collecting container comprises a lockable removal opening for the collected tissue cells. The collecting container is closed by a lid, which comprises an opening for connection of the vacuum source, a connecting element for connecting a feed line for the liquid-tissue cell-mixture and the lockable removal opening. The lid comprises fastening device at its side facing towards the collecting chamber for a collection basket.
