<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium reading device capable of preventing the installation of a skimming device. <P>SOLUTION: A presenter that catches a recording medium is provided at a slot through which the recording medium is inserted. A security display unit is provided on the surface of the presenter. A structure that allows the presenter to get into the device from the outside of the slot along with the recording medium is provided, so that, if no skimming device is installed near the surface of the card slot, a user can visually check it and can easily determine security. When a skimming device is installed, the presenter interferes with the skimming device and a card cannot be taken in to prevent the theft of card information. Furthermore, even if the skimming device is installed near the back of the card slot, a structure preventing the card from skidding over the skimming device is used to prevent the skimming device from scanning the information recording surface of the card, thus preventing the theft of card information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
