<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable production of methane at low cost without necessitating to use a catalyst, and enable to largely reduce water used in large amount in the steam reforming process. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus 1A for producing a gas is provided with an aqueous mixture production section 20 for producing an aqueous mixture from water and a liquid other than water, and a methane gas production section 30 for generating the methane gas from the aqueous mixture produced in the aqueous mixture production section 20 as the raw material, in the gas production apparatus for producing the gas. The liquid other than water is any of an oil, dimethylether, tar, benzene, toluene, xylene and various hydrocarbon-based liquids; and the oil is composed of at least one from naphtha, gasoline, kerosene, gas oil, heavy oil A, heavy oil B, heavy oil C, crude oil (including heavy crude oil), heavy oil, animal oil and waste oil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
