<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure color developing body which develops structure color of an arbitrary wavelength, using a compact constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The structure color developing body develops the structure color by an unevenness repeated structure formed on a reflecting surface. Ifλt denotes the wavelength of target structure color,θs denotes the reference angle and p denote the repeated structure forming pitch, the unevenness repeated structure has, in relation to the forming pitch p of the unevenness 15, a frequency distribution where a center value isλt/2sinθs and standard deviation is in the range of 0.05λt/(2sinθs)<SP>2</SP>to 0.4λt/(2sinθs)<SP>2</SP>. When a visible light is made incident obliquely, with an incidence angleθi=θs on the reflecting surface 12 formed by the unevenness repeated structure, the first-order diffracted light of the target wavelengthλt is scattered backward, in substantially identical direction as that of the incidence direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
