摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a more stable rotation and achieve reduced power consumption by more accurately determining rotation state and performing appropriate pulse control. SOLUTION: A control circuit includes a rotation detection circuit 110 and a controller. The rotation detection circuit detects whether an induced signal VRs generated by rotation of a stepping motor 105 has exceeded a predetermined reference threshold voltage Vcomp in a detection interval T having a plurality of detection areas. The controller determines a rotation state of the stepping motor 105 based on a pattern indicating whether the induced signal VRs exceeds the reference threshold voltage Vcomp in each detection area. The controller controls drive of the stepping motor 105 by any of a plurality of main drive pulses P1 having differing energy levels or a correction drive pulse P2 having a greater energy level than each of the main pulses P1, based on the determined results. An invalid area Ts is provided between at least two detection areas.
