PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool which achieves a switch mechanism to turn ON and OFF of a motor at low costs. SOLUTION: The power tool includes the motor 6; housings (2, 3); and a switch 15 turning the rotation of the motor 6 ON or OFF. The switch 15 is constituted of a snap switch having a swing type lever 16, and the switch 15 is arranged such that the swing type lever 16 is stored inside the housing. A switch lever 21 movable in an approximately vertical direction relative to a surface of the housing, a push rod means 25 having a hole 26a for penetrating the swing type lever 15 and turning the snap switch ON or OFF while being moved interlocked with the switch lever 21, and a spring 26 for urging the push rod means 25 in the direction of turning the switch OFF, are provided.
