The present invention relates to a navigation system and to a method for controlling vehicle navigation. The vehicle navigation of the present invention comprises a storage that saves map data, a communication part that receives, from a vehicle black box installed in the vehicle, visual data captured by said black box, and a control part that acquires location data from the map data and saves the data after mapping the captured visual data with the location data. According to the present invention, as the control part maps the visual data obtained by the vehicle black box with the visual data and saves said data, the user can easily search the relevant visual data or visual frame using the location data, and use said data to determine the cause of an accident and the negligence or fault that led thereto in the event of a car accident.
