<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet ink composition that obtains images having excellent curability and no streak unevenness and excellent gloss and flexibility and an ink-jet recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The ink-jet ink composition includes an N-vinyllactam (component A), a di(meth)acrylate of at least one diol selected from the group consisting of a 9-18 straight-chain hydrocarbon diol, a 6-18C branched hydrocarbon diol and a 6-18C monocyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon diol (component B), and at least one polymerization initiator selected from the group consisting of an α-aminoketone compound, a thioxanthone compound, a thiochromanone compound and a bisacylphosphine oxide compound (component C).
