<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by reducing protrusion of a slide lock for a motorcycle luggage carrier box; and to reduce labor and time for locking and unlocking by facilitating locking and unlocking operations. <P>SOLUTION: This slide lock 20 is obliquely attached to a cover 1 for the slide lock. A cover 1 and a bolt 8 are urged upward by a base spring 14, and weakly urged to a base side by a cover spring 13. When a keyhole surface of a cylinder lock 20 is pushed down with a person's fingers in an opened state, the cover 1 covers a hook 5. When a push-down force is weakened, a leading end of the cover 1 is engaged with the hook 5. When the cylinder lock is turned with a key, a locking bar 3 is engaged with the hook 5 so as to bring about a locked state. In an unlocked state, when an uppermost portion surface of the cylinder lock 20 is pushed down to the base side, the cover 1 and the hook 5 are disengaged from each other; and the cover 1 is protruded to a front side.
