摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aut-focus controlling device which shortens time which is required for completion of the focusing of a focus lens on a subject after a focus evaluation value is acquired by driving the focus lens. <P>SOLUTION: The auto-focus controlling device includes: a focus evaluation value-generating means 5 which generates a focus evaluation value on the basis of imaging data which are picked up through a focus lens fL; a target lens position-determining means 14; a focus evaluation value acquisition timing-determining means 8 which determines a plurality of acquisition lens positions; a scanning means 6 which drives the focus lens fL from the current lens position in a direction in which a target lens position exists; a predicted in-focus lens position-determining means 8 which predicts an in-focus lens position, on the basis of the acquired focus evaluation value, to determine a predicted in-focus lens position; and a moving means 8 which makes the scanning means 6 stop the driving of the focus lens fL when the predicted position is determined, and drives the focus lens fL in the same direction as the scanning means 6 drives the focus lens to move the focus lens to the predicted in-focus lens position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
