PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage control type of piezoelectric oscillator having a sufficient frequency variable amount, and to provide a piezoelectric vibrating piece used for the piezoelectric oscillator. SOLUTION: In a crystal vibrating piece 1, a first exciting electrode 15A as a driving electrode is provided on a first protrusion 5A on one principal surface side of a crystal substrate, and a first external connecting electrode 18A is provided in the vicinity of one end side of the crystal substrate. The first exciting electrode 15A and the first external connecting electrode 18A are electrically connected by a first inter-electrode wire 16A. Similarly, a second exciting electrode 15B as an electrode opposed to the first exciting electrode 15A is provided on a second protrusion 5B of another principal surface of the crystal substrate, and the first external connecting electrode 18A in the vicinity of one end side of the crystal substrate and a second external connecting electrode 18B, which is provided on an area that is not overlapped in a plane view, are electrically connected by a second inter-electrode wire 16B. The first inter-electrode wire 16A and the second inter-electrode wire 16B have stereoscopic crossing areas 17 which are overlapped in the plane view. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
