The assembly (1) has a high pressure pump (2) and a feed pump (3) that are commonly driven by a drive shaft (5) of the high pressure pump. The feed pump is electrically driven in a phasing manner or during starting phase of a combustion engine and designed as a gear pump i.e. internal gear pump (11). The gear pump is integrated into the drive shaft and comprises two gear wheels (8, 9) that are supported in the drive shaft. The wheels are driven by free wheel roller (18) with respect to a rotational torque direction, and the drive shaft is designed as an eccentric shaft or a cam shaft.
