<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film which has polarization selectivity and diffusibility and is reduced in the shrinkage ratio, and to provide a liquid crystal display device including the film as a polarizing diffusion film. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing diffusion film is manufactured through a step for obtaining a crystallized sheet by heating a sheet in an amorphous state comprising a crystalline resin having an intrinsic birefringence of ≥0.1; a step for obtaining a stretched film by mainly stretching the crystallized sheet in a uniaxial direction; and a step for heating the stretched film at a temperature equal to or higher than the glass transition temperature of the stretched film without substantially fixing the film until the relaxation rate becomes 2% or more. Thus, the polarizing diffusion film having a total light transmittance to visible light of 50-90%, a transmission haze to visible light of 15-90%, and a transition polarization degree to visible light of 20-90%, and the shrinkage ratio is ≤0.5% when the film is heat treated at 80°C for 24 h, is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
