PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device where a display-side case slides in a short-side direction and is tiltingly opened with respect to an operation-side case. SOLUTION: This electronic device includes: an operation-side case; a display-side case installed by being superposed on the operation-side case; a slide mechanism mounted to the back face of the display-side case and having one end rotatably pivoted to the operation-side case; a rotary support member having one end rotatably pivoted to the slide mechanism and the other end slidably pivoted onto the operation-side case while rotating; and a torsion spring having both ends respectively fixed to the rotary support member and the slide mechanism. When the torsion spring releases elastic force, the rotary support member tiltingly rises by torque of the torsion spring, the display-side case is supported by the rotary support member and rises to tilt with respect to the operation-side case by using one end pivoted to the operation-side case of the slide mechanism as a supporting point.
