摘要 The method involves receiving an image of surrounding of a car (1) by a camera (2). An object (O) in the surrounding of the car is detected by image evaluation of the captured image and by a sensing unit (3) e.g. radar sensor, lidar sensor and ultrasonic sensor, that is arranged at the car. Specific distance (xr) of the object is detected through the image evaluation of the captured image. The camera is calibrated when distance determined by the sensing unit deviates from the distance determined by image evaluation. The distance determination is carried out by the sensing unit.
