METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR UPDATING SESSION WINDOW IN INSTANT MESSAGING SOFTWARE

The present invention provides a method, apparatus and system for updating a session window in an instant messaging (IM) software. After a user logs on the instant messaging software, a local device sends a session window updating message to a server. The local device receives a configuration file which is sent according to the updating message by the server, and updates the session window according to the received configuration file. Application of the method, apparatus and system of the present invention can update the session window in time, accelerate new function extension, and improve user satisfaction degree.
