<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an FF cable 67 protruded from the rear face of a liquid crystal display panel apparatus 37 with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus 1 includes: an apparatus body; a recording section for forming an image; a liquid crystal display panel apparatus 37 assuming an upright and laying posture with respect to the apparatus body by pivoting around a predetermined axis; the FF cable 67 extended from the rear face of a liquid crystal display panel apparatus 37 and connected to an electrical part in the apparatus body; and a cover member 69 having a first end turnably mounted to any one of the apparatus body and liquid crystal display panel apparatus, and a second end slidably fit to the other one not mounted with the first end out of the apparatus body and liquid crystal display panel apparatus, and covering the FF cable 67.
