<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program which provides an application that takes advantage of the fun of a string-like character without increasing processing loads. <P>SOLUTION: The program makes a computer function as a setting means for setting a character object including a string-like part having a joint structure with joint parts connected in series, a character object control means for moving the character object by applying a virtual force on the joints of the character object and moving the joints on the basis of operation input information or a given event, and a connection means for connecting the plurality of character objects when the character objects satisfy a given connection condition. The connection means connects them when the position relation of the joint positioned at the end of the joint structure connected in series of the given character object and the joint positioned at the end of the joint structure connected in series of another character object satisfies the given connection condition.
