PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn winding device capable of catching a yarn end of yarn wound to a package with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A yarn end catching device 70 of the yarn winding device 100 includes: a suction arm 8 for pulling out the yarn Y from the package P by approaching or separating a suction mouse 8a to/from the package P by moving so as to be turnable by catching the yarn end of the yarn Y wound to the package P by the suction mouse 8a formed at a tip; a negative pressure device 31 for generating negative pressure for sucking the yarn end of the yarn Y wound to the package P by the suction mouse 8a; and a suction force varying mechanism 60 for varying a suction force of the suction mouse 8a.
