PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the time when printing cannot be executed from becoming too long. SOLUTION: In an adjusting state where a printer is adjusted in accordance with operations by an operating unit, first time or second time shorter than the first time is set as automatic transition time in accordance with scheduled adjustment contents (S280). When a transition instruction to an idle state is made or when the operating unit is not operated for an automatic transition time (S230, S240, S260), the printer is transited to the idle state. Thereby, the time when printing cannot be executed can be prevented from becoming too long, the time taken until the automatic transition to the idle state can be made more appropriate.
