PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand dryer used for drying a hand which operates while adjusting the amount of airflow by determining the size of the hand to solve the problem wherein the same amount of airflow was applied to operate regardless of the state of a user, and thereby, the user is not taken into consideration. SOLUTION: The hand dryer is configured to: include a blower 2 in a body 1; determine the size of the user's hand according to a signal of a hand detector 4; and adjust the output of the blower 2 according to the size of the hand, so that the hand is dried efficiently.
