PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive parking lock device without using an expensive actuator and a high-degree motor control circuit. SOLUTION: When guiding a lock pole 3 to a lock position from an unlocked position, when a positioning plate 5 rotates and a roller R is positioned in a first position of an outer peripheral surface 5a, a brush motor M is made to stop. Afterwards, the roller R independently rotates the positioning plate 5 in the counterclockwise direction by counterclockwise component force of elastic force of a positioning spring SP2 applied to the outer peripheral surface 5a. When guiding the lock pole 3 to the unlocked position from the locked position, when the positioning plate 5 rotates and the roller R is positioned in a second position of the outer peripheral surface 5a, the brush motor M is made to stop. Afterwards, the roller R independently rotates the positioning plate 5 in the clockwise direction by clockwise component force of the elastic force of the positioning spring SP2 applied to the outer peripheral surface 5a.
