<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of improving visual quality without expressing a segment line as a broken segment line (dotted line). <P>SOLUTION: Respective segment lines indicating a straight line included in plotting information or curve formed by connecting a plurality of straight lines are extracted, straight line areas for extracting respective straight line portions included in respective extracted segment lines are extracted, and when a gap exists between respective pixels composing each straight line portion, it is determined whether or not interpolation of pixels is necessary to fill the gap based on a tilt angle and line width of each extracted straight portion. When it is determined that interpolation is necessary, the number of pixels is calculated, respective pixel data corresponding to respective pixels composing the straight line portion are generated, respective interpolated pixel data corresponding to respective generated pixel data are generated based on the calculated number of pixels to be interpolated, and image data indicating respective segment lines are generated based on respective generated pixel data and respective generated interpolated pixel data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
