Disclosed is a lighting device that can improve the usage efficiency of coolant fluid used in the cooling of LEDs. The device is provided with: a plurality of LEDs (13); a chassis (14) having an accommodating surface (14b) wherein said plurality of LEDs (13) are disposed vertically and horizontally; a plurality of cooling bodies (20) each disposed at a position corresponding to the disposition of an LED (13) in said chassis (14), and each having a duct (20a) within which the coolant fluid flows as well as an opening/closing valve (21) for opening/closing said duct (20a); a radiator (22) for performing heat exchange between the coolant fluid and air; a pump (24) through which the coolant fluid circulates and that is connected to the cooling bodies (20) and the radiator (22) via piping (25, 26); an LED control unit (43) that controls the driving of the LEDs (13); and a cooling-body control unit (44) that, on the basis of the driving of the LEDs (13), controls the driving of the opening/closing valves (21) of the cooling bodies (20) corresponding to said LEDs (13).
