<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with multi-output power supply, wherein the efficiency of using power is poor although rated power is designed to exceed the sum of maximum power consumption of a load L1 and a load L2. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply includes: a power supply circuit 10 for output of the rated power; a current detection unit 31 for detecting drive current driving the load L1 and the load L2 and for output of a detection signal; an overcurrent determiner 41 for receiving the detection signal, for comparing it with a threshold and for output of a control signal; and a power control unit 42 controlling supply of the drive current to the load L2 by receiving the control signal. Thus, the efficiency of use as a power supply is improved since surplus power can be supplied to the load L2 while power supply to the load L1 is secured. When the power supply is constituted to supply power to the load L2 of a common board 80 from a plurality of circuit boards 70 having the power supplies, power can be saved and the power supply can be miniaturized without practically stopping the load L2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
