<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a data electrode-driving circuit without sacrificing image display quality. <P>SOLUTION: A plasma display device is provided, including: a plasma display panel having a discharge cell formed at a position where a pair of display electrodes which are long in a row direction and a data electrode which is long in a column direction intersect; and a driving circuit generating a driving voltage waveform including a plurality of sub-fields having a writing period, which constitute one field, to be applied to each electrode of the plasma display panel. The driving circuit includes: a low-pass filter circuit 41 having a median selecting unit 53 selecting a median of three image signals S10, S20, S21, displayed in three discharge cells commonly having the same data electrode, in which writing operation is continuously carried out in the writing period; and a mixing circuit 42 mixing an image signal S30 subjected to the low-pass filtering process and outputted from the low-pass filter circuit 41 and the image signal S20 not subjected to the low pass filtering process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
