<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of excellently deploying a bag for protecting knees of an occupant arranged on an upper side of the knees before the deployment between an instrument panel and the knees. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device 10 for a front passenger seat includes an inflator 22, a knee restraining part 36 for restraining both the knees K of the vehicle occupant P from a front side by being inflated and deployed on a cabin C side in relation to the instrument panel 16 by receiving gas supply, and a pair of right and left downward deploying parts 38 provided integrally with each of both end parts of the vehicle width direction in relation to the knee restraining part 36. The downward deploying parts 38 are deployed downward from an upper side in relation to the knees K of the vehicle occupant P by receiving gas supply from the inflator 22 and supplies the gas from the inflator 22 to the knee restraining part 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
