<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a function except generation of informing sound by a vehicle presence informing device 1. <P>SOLUTION: In this vehicle presence informing device 1, the informing sound is generated by radiating an ultrasonic wave into air based on an ultrasonic wave signal modulated according to audible sound by using a plurality of ultrasonic wave transducers 3. One of the plurality of ultrasonic wave transducers 3 is made as a transducer 7 for transmission and reception capable of receiving the ultrasonic wave in addition to the transmission of the ultrasonic wave. When vehicle speed is a prescribed value or more, the transducer 7 is made to function as an ultrasonic wave sensor. As a result, the vehicle presence informing device 1 can be utilized as the ultrasonic wave sensor 7 for measuring a distance from an obstacle, also when informing sound is not required to be generated since the vehicle speed is fast. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
