<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique with which alarm information on a fault that occurs in a monitored and controlled device, is transmitted/received without missing, while suppressing congestion of a network. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring and controlling system having a plurality of devices to be monitored and controlled, and a server for monitoring and controlling the plurality of devices to be monitored and controlled. Each of the devices to be monitored and controlled is equipped with: a transmitting section for transmitting a generated command to the server; a receiving section for receiving a response to the command from the server; a network monitoring section for measuring a response time from transmission of the command to reception of the response to monitor the congestion state of the network; and a control section which monitors a fault that occurs in the device itself, and controls the transmission to the server in accordance with the congestion state of the network while using information on the caused fault as the alarm information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
