PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress collapsing of a cap by the cap pressing force against a nozzle surface. SOLUTION: When introducing a negative pressure into a closed space formed by the cap abutting on an ejection head, the cap is made to abut on the ejection head with a pressing force greater than in the case of not introducing the negative pressure into the closed space. The cap can thereby abut on the jet head with a weak pressing force during the time when the negative pressure is not introduced. This avoids the cap abutting on the ejection head with a strong pressing force for a long time, to considerably suppress collapsing of the cap. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
