PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide device that inputs an electromagnetic wave with little noise into a waveguide or inputs outputs an electrical signal with little noise from an electromagnetic wave which is propagated in the waveguide. SOLUTION: A part or all of an outer periphery shape of input electrodes (11 and 15) or an output electrode (12) or the size of the input electrode or the output electrode, is formed to become a shape or a size specified by the electric field mode distribution of an aimed degree. For example, the part or all of the outer periphery shape of the input electrode and the output electrode can be formed in a shape corresponding to, for example, similar to, a part or all of a cosine curve or a sine curve equal to or more than a half period. In addition, the part or all of the outer periphery shape of the input electrode and the output electrode can be formed in a shape corresponding to, for example, similar to, a part or all of the electric field mode distribution curve inherent to the waveguide.
