PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a chopstick rest that can hide the ends of filthy chopsticks in use attached with lip rouge or food from surrounding eyes while keeping the table and chopstick tips sanitary and to provide a sanitarily enjoyable meal time even in a shop having no chopstick rest when going outside. SOLUTION: The chopstick rest includes a chopstick rest part 1 for placing the chopsticks and a chopstick tip hiding part 2 for hiding the chopstick tips. The chopstick tip hiding part 2 is mounted on one of the sides 1a of a chopstick rest part 1 parallel to the direction where the chopsticks are placed on the chopstick rest part 1. The top end 2a of the chopstick tip hiding part 2 does not exceed the center A in the longitudinal direction of the chopstick rest part 1 so that the chopstick tip can be hidden without the chopsticks 3 hindered to lift by the chopstick tip hiding part 2. In addition, the chopstick tips can be hidden by a chopstick tip hiding part 102 mounted on one of the sides of a chopstick rest part 101 parallel to the direction where the chopsticks are placed on the chopstick rest part 101 via a connection part 104.
