PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray photographing system which can recognize the kind of a scattered ray-removing grid which is fitted in the apparatus by a small number of sensors even when a plurality of kinds of scattered ray-removing grids which are different from each other are used. SOLUTION: In a case wherein a grid frame 12 is fitted in a correct position, a pin member 28 separates from the side of the grid frame 12 by engaging with a recess section 15 which is formed on the grid frame 12, and the detecting direction of a distance sensor 23 faces a direction being in parallel with one edge on the leading side of the grid frame 12 from a direction being confronted with a second detecting piece 17. Therefore, the distance sensor 23 detects detecting pieces 13 which are fixed to thirteen detecting piece fixing sections 14 on the one edge on the leading side of the grid frame 12.
