CROSS-LINKABLE RESIN COMPOSITION FOR TARPAULIN AND TARPAULIN USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for tarpaulin which is capable of manufacturing the tarpaulin simultaneously satisfying all characteristics of high frequency welder welding aptitude, heat resistant creep property and flexibility of a high frequency welding part at low cost. SOLUTION: The cross-linkable resin composition for tarpaulin comprises an olefin based thermoplastic resin and an organic peroxide for cross-linking the olefin based thermoplastic resin. As the organic peroxide, t-butyl peroxy-2-ethyl hexyl carbonate is used. The olefin base thermoplastic resin uses one kind selected from an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer and an ethylene-methyl (meth)acrylate copolymer. As the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, one containing 5-41 mass% vinyl acetate unit is used. Both of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (A) containing 25-50 mass% vinyl acetate unit and the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (B) containing <25 mass% vinyl acetate unit can be used in combination.
