PURPOSE: A touch screen input method, an input device, and a portable terminal including the same are provided to effectively perform a desire command only with a pattern of touching the arbitrary point of a touch screen multiple times. CONSTITUTION: A touch detection unit detects a plurality of touches on a touch screen(S110). An operation unit determines a touch pattern according to a time interval between the touch(S120). A comparison unit compares the determined touch pattern with a set touch pattern(S130). In case the determined touch pattern and the set touch pattern are the same, a CPU(Central Processing Unit) performs a command assigned to the set touch pattern(S140).
