PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum breaking valve allowing adjustment of a valve opening lift without removing a valve casing from a fluid piping system. SOLUTION: The valve casing is formed of a body 1 having an inflow port 6 connected to the fluid piping system, and an atmosphere port 4 opened to the atmosphere; and a lid member 2. A valve chamber 3 with which the inflow port 6 and the atmosphere port 4 are in communication is formed in the valve casing. An annular valve seat 5 is provided between the atmosphere port 4 and the valve chamber 3, and a valve element 7 for opening/closing the annular valve seat 5 is arranged in the valve chamber 3. The valve element 7 normally closes the annular valve seat 5, and when the inflow port 6 side is put in a vacuum state, the valve element 7 opens the annular valve seat 5. Both faces of the valve element 7 are protrusively provided with an inlet side valve stem 8 and an outlet side valve stem 9, and both sides of the valve element 7 are provided with an inlet side guide member 12 with which the outer periphery of the inlet side valve stem 8 comes in sliding contact, and an outlet side guide member 14 with which the outer periphery of the outlet side valve stem 9 comes in sliding contact. A stopper member 15 is arranged in an advance/retreat operable manner penetrating the lid member 2 airtightly, and the stopper member 15 is screw-advanced/retreated to adjust a distance to the outlet side valve stem 9.
