PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-liquid separator preventing relatively early clogging of a filter. SOLUTION: A swirl vane 12 is arranged in an annular space 11 formed by a body 1 of the apparatus and an exhaust pipe 10. The space above the swirl vane 12 is connected to an inlet 6. The space above the exhaust pipe 10 is connected to an outlet 7 through an inside hole of the exhaust pipe 10. A liquid storage chamber 15 is formed below the annular space 11, and the lower end of the liquid storage chamber 15 is connected to a liquid discharge outlet 8. A cylindrical filter 22 for filtration of a fluid is arranged between the exhaust pipe 10 and the liquid storage chamber 15. An impinging plate 24 is arranged in the outer periphery of the cylindrical filter 22 in the axial direction of the cylindrical filter 22. Since foreign particles of small particle sizes impinge on the impinging plate 24 and are thereby separated and flow down to the liquid storage chamber 15 along the impinging plate 24, relatively early clogging of the filter 22 can be prevented, eliminating the need of frequent cleaning and/or replacement of the filter 22.
