PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charging system for charging a plurality of batteries, capable of rapidly charging the batteries while suppressing power to be input into the charging system. SOLUTION: The charging system 400 includes a plurality of chargers 410, 420, 430 and a relay 440. In charging the batteries 114, 116, 118, the relay 440 connects the chargers 410, 420, 430 to the batteries 114, 116, 118 respectively in either a first connection mode or a second connection mode. In the first connection mode, the chargers 410, 420, 430 are connected to the batteries 114, 116, 118, respectively.
