PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve system of internal combustion engine capable of switching, at individually different timing a plurality of cams at low cost attributable to a common displacement means, with respect to the variable valve control system of internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A cam shaft 12 is provided with a plurality of cams including first cams 14, 18, 22, 26 and second cams 16, 20, 24, 28 which are arranged adjacently to each other and are different in profile. There are provided transmission members 30, 34 which contact selectively with any one of the first and second cams and thereby transmits, to a valve 36, the operational force output from the first cams or the second cams. A displacement means 42 is included which displaces relatively the cam shaft and the transmission member in the axial direction of the cam shaft.
