Disclosed are a method and server which involve searching for a medical institution on the basis of medical examination equipment, and providing information on the relevant medical service. The server for providing a medical service comprises: a communication unit which receives, from a user terminal, user identification information and a request for searching for a medical institution; a medical examination equipment selection unit which selects medical examination equipment using the user information contained in the request for searching for a medical institution; a search unit which searches a medical institution database for the medical institution that has the selected medical examination equipment; and an information-configuring unit which configures the search result into a format capable of being displayed on the screen of the terminal corresponding to the user identification information, and transmits the search result to the terminal via the communication unit, thereby providing users with information on the medical institution found on the basis of the criterion of medical examination equipment, and thus providing users with improved objectivity for selecting medical institutions.
