PURPOSE: A balance type reading stand is provided to make a book automatically form a horizontal plane due to descending of a thick part of the book. CONSTITUTION: A balance type reading stand comprises: a bottom plate(110) supporting a reading stand; an inclined plate(120) which is pivotally combined with the bottom plate and can be fixed at a predetermined angle; a supporting board(140) which is combined with the lower part of the inclined plate and is formed in the central part of the inclined plate; a support arm(150) which is pivotally combined with the supporting board; and a book supporting plate(160) which is combined with both ends of the support arm and supports the left and right sides of a spread book.
