PURPOSE: An outdoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to prevent frost of an outdoor heat exchanger since moisture-removed external air heat-exchanges with the outdoor heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: External air is sucked into an intake port. A case comprises a discharge port, through which external air is discharged. An outdoor heat exchanger(13) is held in the case. A dehumidifying unit(15) is arranged on the upper part of the outdoor heat exchanger and performs dehumidifying of external air sucked through the intake port.
