<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide filamentous fungi having abilities for degrading a pollutant in the environment containing salinity, and superior to conventional microorganisms in points of a degradation rate and kinds of the pollutants to be degraded; and to provide a method for repairing the environment by using the microorganisms. <P>SOLUTION: The microorganism belonging to the genus Pestalotiopsis, and having at least lignin-degrading activities in the environment containing the salinity is provided. The microorganism mainly produces laccase in the lignin-degrading enzymes. The microorganism is a fungus of anamorph not forming a sexual reproduction organ, and the conidium thereof has six cells (wherein, the number of colored cells is 4) and 3-9 appendages.
