PURPOSE: An apparatuses of grid connecting for a standalone solar power streetlight system and operating methods thereof are provided to reduce installation costs and maintenance costs by maintaining depth of discharge and reducing necessary capacity while being charged in a battery. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatuses of grid connecting for a standalone solar power streetlight system and operating methods thereof, a solar cell(210) changes light energy of the sun into electrical energy. A charge and discharge controller(220) supplies the electricity generated from the solar cell to a battery(230). A DC conversion unit(270) converts the AC of a power system into DC through activation control of the charge and discharge controller. A relay unit(240) intercepts a discharge path connected to the battery through the charge and discharge controller. A DC load(250) receives DC to operate a streetlight.
