<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination light transmission system for reducing the generation probability of reception failures even when a reception terminal is installed in the neighborhood of a discharge lamp. <P>SOLUTION: Between a lighting frequency corresponding to the level of 1 in a bit pattern and a lighting frequency corresponding to the level of 0, a first frequency (f1) which is smaller, a second frequency (f2) which is larger, a third frequency (f3) which is half of the f1, a fourth frequency (f4) which is half of the f2; a fifth frequency (f5) which is a first threshold, and a sixth frequency (f6) which is a second threshold.
