An online charging method and a system are disclosed to improve user experience and the flexibility of implementing services. The method includes: obtaining Online Charging System (OCS) subscription information of a user; and performing online charging for the user according to the OCS subscription information. A communication system and the relevant devices are also disclosed herein.
