PURPOSE: A rotating cathode drum having uniform electric field is provided to minimize focusing of electric field on the corner of the outer cylinder of a cathode drum since the corner edge of the circumferential surface of the outer cylinder of the cathode drum is formed as a sphere with a gentle slope. CONSTITUTION: A rotating cathode drum having uniform electric field comprises an inner cylinder(100), a middle cylinder(200) and an outer cylinder(300). A side plate(120) is welded to both sides of the inner cylinder. The middle cylinder is forcibly fitted into the circumferential surface(110) of the inner cylinder by heating. Side plates(320) of the outer cylinder are welded to the sides of the inner and middle cylinders. The outer cylinder is forcibly fitted into the circumferential surface(210) lf the middle cylinder by heating and the edges of both corners of the circumferential surface(310) of the outer cylinder are formed as a sphere(330) with a gentle slope.
