Wire guidance roller for use in wire saws

The wire guide roll (3) has multiple grooves (2), over which a sawing wire (1) guided. A geometrical form of the grooves is adapted a progressive cross-sectional variation of the sawing wire in an axial direction of the wire guide roll. A radius of curvature (R1,R2) of the curved bottom of the groove is decreased in axial direction of the wire guide roll. An independent claim is also included for a method for simultaneous separation of multiplicity of disks of a work piece by a wire saw.
