ANTI-IDIOTYPE ANTIBODY AGAINST AN ANTIBODY AGAINST THE AMYLOID β PEPTIDE

The present invention is directed to an anti-idiotype antibody binding to the complementary determining region of an antibody against the amyloid beta peptide. In one embodiment said antibody binds to the same epitope or an overlapping epitope as the antibody obtainable from the cell line DSM ACC2939. Also reported is an immunoassay for the determination of an antibody against the amyloid beta peptide and for determination of an anti-idiotype antibody binding to an antibody against the amyloid beta peptide.
