<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device capable of suppressing an influence of mutually mixed noise when an electric signal including a plurality of subcarries is transmitted using analog optical modulation. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmission device receives an optical signal which is generated by performing analog modulation on an optical carrier signal with an electric signal including a plurality of subcarriers and includes a sideband corresponding to each of the plurality of subcarriers, shapes the waveform of the sideband included in the received optical signal, and then converts the signal into an electric signal. Waveform shaping is performed while an upper sideband is reduced in optical power more as the frequency is higher and a lower sideband is reduced in optical power more as the frequency is lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
